Bio

Ahmad Abdelfattah is a research assistant professor at the Innovative Computing Laboratory at the University of Tennessee. He received his PhD in computer science from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in 2015, where he was a member of the Extreme Computing Research Center (ECRC). His research interests span high performance computing, parallel numerical algorithms, and general purpose GPU computing. He currently serves as the principal investigator of the MAGMA library. He has been acknowledged by NVIDIA and AMD for contributing to their numerical BLAS libraries, cuBLAS and rocBLAS, respectively.
