Would like some tips before going into Linear Algebra?

Hello everyone, I just finished Calculus 2 and decided to move on the Linear Algebra. I did alright in Calc but I was wondering what fundamental concepts I should really understand before diving into this field of math. Any tips for studying (other than with a group, I do that often) Linear Algebra would be much appreciated. I'm a little scared, this is the first math that I have legitimately no idea what to expect.

If you understand calculus, then I think understanding linear algebra should be fine. Important concepts include numerical stability (e.g., why do we need pivoting in LU / Gaussian elimination?), symmetric / Hermitian matrices, positive definite, orthogonal vectors & matrices, eigenvalues, and singular values.
