Testing Linear Equations Routines

Postby cfav » Mon Apr 21, 2008 8:50 am

Dear friends
I am trying to install LAPACK in a REDHAT system. Every thing was going well until I reached the part regarding the testing of LAPACK LE Routines.
I go to LAPACK/TESTING and type

xlintsts < stest.in > stest.out

What I get is the following message

-bash: xlintsts: command not found

All the files xlint* are there. Please, let me know what is wrong here.
Many thanks in advance.

Which version of LAPACK are you trying to install?
This problem is probably due to the fact that
1- you do not have ./ in your PATH (that's OK)
2- you are trying to install an old version, the 3.1.1 should not have this
problem

OK got it, I did not read your post carefully enough.
You need to type:

./xlintsts < stest.in > stest.out

and the ./ is important.

I am thankful to you for such a valuable support Julien.
I followed your advise and things seem to be working.
I guess I will keep sending questions to the forum, since I am a beginner in LAPACK, and then I want to set ScaLAPACK. I will appreciate very much your help, thanks in advance.
Regards
