Hi all,

I'd like to use lapack to benchmark a multicore machine. All I'd like to do is run some number crunching data and compare how it behaves under one OS vs. another. (Linux vs. Solaris).

At the moment I have lapack installed under linux and would like to run some tests.

Are there any available benchmark tools? Do I have to write some tests using the lapack routines?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Have a look at HPL, this should provide you with all you ever wanted to know and more about your machines.
