PAPI for Intel Core i3

I see that the beginnings of Intel Core i3 support has already been added to the latest PAPI source code. Does anyone know when PAPI will begin to support Core i3 processors?

Current PAPI should support i3. If you try it and it doesn't work, please let us know.
