Hi,
I have read slides of GTC Magma presentation where some impressive work has been shown..
I would like to ask about Magma Sparse:
we read "Under evaluation for release (MathWorks, friendly users, and collaborators)"..
is going to be released open source for all? some ETA?
Also would like to know if all "sparse" releasted current work shown in slides will make into initial Magma Sparse release.. specifically:
In slide 38 of S4541 GTC session we see superfast SpMM achieving over 100Gflops on K40 easily vs say 50gflops of CUsparse..
that will be included on Magma sparse? also I assume this also is much faster than CULA Sparse right? since we don't see any comprasion..
Also in slide 40 we see CA-GMRES perf 2x for 1GPU over "standard" GMRES presumably.. will be included this solver in initial Magma Sparse also?
In slide 42 we read "GPU-aware Sparse Eigen-Solvers" which a figure stating "Overall speedup vs. LOBPCG from BLOPEX on CPUs" showing also perf over 100Gflops..
seems a typo in that figure Magma sparse: uses CPU should be GPU right?
also in initial release?
Many thanks..
