OS collapses when compiling ATLAS

Hi,

My OS is ubuntu 7.10. CPU is AMD64(athlon X2). Every time when i compile ATLAS(newest version), it collapses at the same point. The last line of the compiling information reads,

-m 1000 -n 1000 -f 0 -o res/dgemvN_2_75

Any ideas?
