LAPACK/ScaLAPACK Development

Hi,
I need some help. The name of each LAPACK routine is a coded specification of its function? What is the naming scheme? There are routines in LAPACK to compute determinants?

- There are no routines in LAPACK to compute determinants. This is discussed in the "Accuracy and Stability" chapter in the LAPACK Users' Guide: http://www.netlib.org/lapack/lug/node72.html
