On a Debian 7 x86_64 system (Xeon W3690), the LAPACK 3.6.0 tests have one failure that appears to be serious when using the NETLIB BLAS 3.6.0 library:
ZDRGEV3: ZGGEV31 returned INFO= 7.
N= 12, JTYPE= 16, ISEED=( 2855, 3551, 2406, 2393)
<ZGV description snipped>
Matrix order= 12, type=16, seed=2855,3551,2406,2393, result 1 is 4.504D+15
ZGV drivers: 1 out of 1092 tests failed to pass the threshold
LAPACK and BLAS were compiled with the Debian 7's version of gfortran (version 4.7.2-5). The error occurs when I use the default optimization level (-O3 for BLAS and -O2 -frecursive for LAPACK) or when I disable optimization (-O0 for BLAS and -O0 -frecursive for LAPACK). When I link with libblas.so from Debian 7's libblas3 package (version 1.2.20110419-5), the failure does not occur. I also see the same failure on a less standard system (CentOS 4.8 x86_64 in a Parallels virtual machine; Intel Core I5; custom-compiled gfortran 4.8.5 used to compile BLAS 3.6.0 and LAPACK 3.6.0).
